Okay so, like, are we allowed to call it a Stock Market Crash yet? For nearly two weeks the news has called it anything BUT a crash. And lots of "oh but it's not as bad as 1987".

Um... okay? You say individual days aren't as bad as 1987 but what about the fact that the last two weeks have been constantly falling? Doesn't that add up to more than 1987, and infact make it a crash?

... I really think the news should stop beating around the bush... -_- Call it what it is... a "Stock Market Crash" and "you don't get credit no more" and, finally "you don't have no job more 'cause your company has no money".

:/ I may be completely off base but I don't think so. THE STOCK MARKET HAS CRASHED (or is crashing as the case may be). Now start saying it instead of pussyfooting around or pretending something will come rescue it. Sheesh.

If they can't convince us to call their bail out plan a rescue plan (I laugh every time a voter calls it a bail out and they insist it's a rescue plan) I'm sure the second the media calls it a 'crash' no politician can convince us to call it anything else. Americans can't be fooled anymore. Our government's greed and apathy are like an exposed wound now. They're not fooling anyone anymore.

What, and cause a panic more of a panic? (read with healthy dose of wry sarcasm)

Same thing about how were slipping into a 'recession'. No one wants to use the 'D' word.
