Sep. 28th, 2009 03:37 pmAt the beginning of September I picked up three kittens in Rock Creek BC (whose mom had been eaten by a coyote.) I had stopped off because a 71 year old man who rented a guest house on this guys land had passed away and there was a yard sale sign up on the #3 Highway.
The man who owned the lands name is Randy. He's about fifty and lives alone with cats and chickens and a bunch of junk on the land.
I hand raised the kittens for 6 days and gave them to a local Vancouver kitten placement agency which is "no kill". I cried and I cried which is partly why I went back to get another, there had been at least two other kittens on that property who were motherless.
On Saturday I drove back to Rock Creek, BC. Randy has no phone so I dropped in. We talked for hours, I told him I wanted to move out that way. Since it was late, he suggested I stay over night in the guest house (he lives in a trailer at the bottom of this hill.) Since I didn't get any weird vibes from the guy I agreed and stayed over night.
I picked up a sickly girl kitten and brought her back with me.
I really want to move out there, to the middle of no where, and recollect myself. There is now a house on that guys land that has no renter. Of course I'd have to get a crap job to support myself, ie - working at a gas station.
....
So.
I told my supervisor at work today that I am quitting in a month. I've been unhappy for at least two - three months.
I only have one life. Vancouver is suffocating. I have too much junk. I need to move on with my life and disappear for a while. Rock Creek is a good a place as any. If Rock Creek doesn't work out I'll probably head back to Alberta.
I'll be selling my My Little Pony collection, so if anyone wants a special pony let me know. ;)
